The
IDX ES1022 Battery and Power Kit consists of two E-10S batteries, VL-2 Charger and Power Supply and a 10' DC Power Cable. This kit will supply power to a camcorder, monitor or other equipment utilizing AC adapted power or DC battery power. The V-Mount connectivity is standard with most Sony equipment and can be adapted to a wide variety of other brand name video devices.
The
VL-2 is a two-channel, sequential Li-Ion (Lithium-Ion) fast charger with a built-in 60W power supply. Up to two Li-Ion Endura V-mount batteries can be charged in 5 hours.
Portability
The VL-2 offers a lightweight design (3.3lbs) with a convenient built-in handle.
V-Mount
The highly reliable V-Mount, battery mount is becoming more and more prevalent on many new broadcast and professional camcorders. In response, IDX has adapted the design of their batteries and chargers to with the V-Mount design.
Condition Indicator
An LED condition indicator is offers a quick glance of each batteries charge status.

The optional A-E2NP allows the VL-2 to charge NP style batteries of any one of the following chemistries:

NiCd (Nickel Cadmium)
NiMH (Nickel Metal Hydride)
Power Supply
A standard 4-Pin Canon type connector is available on the front panel for 60 watts of DC power.
Red (charging)
Green (complete/trickle)
Orange (battery fault)
World-Wide AC Power
As with all IDX chargers, the VL-2's power switch is recessed to prevent an accidental loss of power. A world-wide, auto-sensing AC power (AC 100-240V) operation is standard.
The IDX Endura E-10S is a Lithium-Ion (Li-Ion) battery pack
Precision mechanics give the Endura 10S a sleek design with a quick seamless V-Mount connection. This is the economical version of the E-10 with the same 98 Wh power rating.
Lithium-Ion (Li-Ion)
IDX has embraced Lithium-Ion for its obvious advantages. Li-Ion batteries can deliver 40% more capacity than comparably sized NiCd batteries and are one of the lightest rechargeable batteries available today.
Power Status
Five LED lamps located on the operators side of camera offer a quick-look reference of remaining battery capacity.
14.4 Volts
The 14.4V design of the E-10S battery complies with equipment manufacturers specifications, eliminating all 12V battery problems
The E-10S is designed in a 14.4V configuration with a full discharge rating of 12V. Therefore, the Endura will always deliver 100% capacity before the camera ever reaches its cutoff point.

V-Mounts are becoming more and more prevalent on many new broadcast and professional camcorders.
The
IDX CA-4XLR is a 10' 4-Pin XLR power extension cable. It features a 4-Pin XLR male connector on one end and a female 4-Pin XLR connector on the other end. This allows the user to extend the distance between the power source and the equipment an extra 10'.
